~ Lena Kanellou ~
  • Heraklion, Crete, Greece
  • Lena Kanellou was initially drawn to tango because of the dance, but soon, fell profoundly in love with the soulful music and poignant lyrics. In her tango journey, she was fortunate to fulfil her long-held dream of creating the musical mood of the dancefloor herself, as she started playing music in milongas of her hometown Heraklion.
She finds Golden Era music to be very conducive to a beautiful dancefloor experience and she loves coming up with tandas that, apart from a musical, also follow a conceptual theme in their poetry. Over the course of an evening, she goes for a balanced mix of lyricism and rhythmicality and she enjoys adapting attentively to the reaction of the dancers and having the feeling of dancing with everyone on the floor.

~ Flavia ~
  • Flavia Cristaldo (Munich, Germany)
  • My name is Flavia Cristaldo, born in La Boca / Buenos Aires, Argentina. For 19 years I have dedicated myself to the Tango Argentino, was trained by Gustavo Naveira, Chicho Frimboli, Lucia Mazer, Pablo and Dana, Guillermina Quiroga, Rodolfo Dinzel and many others.
In well-known theaters of the city (Buenos internationals) I danced with the orchestras Sexteto Mayor, El Arranque, Color Tango and others. both in known milongas in which I also taught, Gricel, c.c. Torcato Tasso; La Ideal, La Nacional, Salon Caning .. At the age of six, I started with a long-time ballet education followed by flamenco, modern and contemporary dance.
International I taught, danced and DJ in Luxenburg Sweden, Norway, Finland, Japan, Prague, Italy, Greece and Germany where I actually teach and live.
My work is based on exploring the body, allowing the capacity of natural energy to flow and move.
Tango as a synonym of expression with its advanced techniques shaped my education. The emergence of creativity as well as learn, dance, hear, feel and enjoy. Also I want to dance, especially at Tango Argentino, respect each other and still let the leadership and be led, the dancers mediate. The leader makes an offer to the guided person, but does not enforce it. It should be a dance together.

Together with Ilias Tsamplis, who lives in Munich, and Susanne Mühlhaus, organizer and Tango teacher at Milonga Sur in Munich and Nikos Dalamagas, Manolis developed the idea of an ongoing cultural and dance exchange between the Tango communities in Munich and Crete and elsewhere, and the result is the Tango MUC-HER festival.
~ Susanne ~
  • Susanne Mühlhaus (Munich, Germany)
  • When the dance floor gets crowded as soon as a tanda starts, the seats are empty because the dancers have been magically drawn to the dance floor by music they cannot resist – this is Susanne’s idea of DJ happiness, every time she musicalizes. People beaming with delight at the end of a milonga – that’s her biggest reward as a DJ. She organizes the weekly milonga SUR in Munich every Sunday and other milongas in the past.
She djed at Innsbruck Tango Otoño Festival and milongas in Austria and Norway. “Golden age music continues to fascinate me, move me and guide me.” During many stays in Buenos Aires she learned from the most experienced Argentinian DJs the art of composing tandas and creating a dramatic arc from start to finish of a milonga. A Tango teacher since 2010, she regularly writes about Tango and its personalities for the magazine “Tangodanza”, including cover stories about Mariano Chicho Frúmboli, Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne and Ariadna Naveira & Fernando Sanchez and has published a book about famous Tango maestros. www.sutango.com

~ Shalva & Dora ~
  • Shalva Kirakosian & Dora Pardali (Chania, Crete, Greece)

~ Sven ~
  • Sven Piehl (Heraklion, Crete, Greece)
  • About 43 years ago I tried my first dance steps and after about 20 years the Argentinean Tango crossed my way and in the mean time I enjoyed the education as a tango teacher with Michael Domke and Gerrit Schlüter in Bremen, Germany. I have been living in Crete for about 13 years, teaching in social clubs and in my own studio. The tango became my dance, because it allows me free dancing without moving in strict predetermined, standardized ways. A wise man once told me, it's important to dance, whether it's tango music or not. All you need to do is dancing!! I ended up for the tango
